The UB04Claims Adapter performs readymade conversion of UB04 Print Image files to X12N / HIPAA 837(Institutional) based on a UB04 Control file layout. A UB04 Control file is constructed for every installation to capture the subtle differences between the various UB04 Print Image files generated by different PMS systems. It takes an hour to construct this UB04 Control file based on UB04 Print Image layout and some sample UB04 Print Image claims. We have a GUI tool for creating the control files. As this UB04 Control file is constructed empirically from sample UB04 Print Image files are available, it could take a few iterations to arrive at 100 percent quality of output X12N / HIPAA generated.

This adapter also supports transformation of UB04 CSV Files to 837(I) based on a CSV Map file. A UB04 CSV Map file is constructed once for every installation to capture the CSV file layout that is being fed to this adapter. We have a GUI tool for creating this UB04 CSV Maps. It takes less than an hour to create and test a CSV map. This adapter is National Provider Identification (NPI) ready.
UB04Claims Adapter uses expEDIum X12N Engine internally to perform translations.
